A trip to IMH

Joined the SIT CSC event to Institute of Mental Health on a Sunday morning!

I guess most of us have the stigma in us since young? They are also patients not crazy people. The rate of mental patients are increasing in SG! It's quite a saddening morning.

One of the activity we did with them was art n craft. All drawn by the patients in ward 44B. My heart sank and literally teared when one of them passed the heart with the "Love me w all ur heart" after completing. Most of them have been rejected their family so how is one surviving with any love...?

Had an enriching morning, learning about mental illness and bringing smiles to them. Honestly, I was a little scared and reserved when we went up to the ward. As in, this is my FIRST time getting so close to people mentally challenged. But, it was heartwarming to see them sing and enjoying the sandwich making session. Left the place w a heavy heart but I was glad I joined this event because it was an eye-opening Sunday morning and leaving smiles on the patient's faces.

Xiao Wei's 21st

I guess all the '92 babies are crying every month because of all the 21st birthday to attend to.. But I thought it will always be a good time for u to catch up with ur friends that u havent seen for the longest time!!! FINALLY, the glam girl met up again. Glam girls given by Mr Nair back in TP. Not gonna mention how much I feel like going back to poly life but my last academic sem was awesome with the girls! 

So we attended Xiao Wei's 21st bday at the condo function room. I think the function room @ Darrick's condo is still the best I had seen so far!!! But that's not my point.

TMR I gonna volunteer again!!! Kinda looking forward because tmr I will be going to.... Whee! Had been sweating a lot this week and I think I should cut down on balling and running because I'm feeling the stress now. Exam is coming but I am stuck with college algebra at this point of time, need to focus on school now. Deadlinessss are haunting. *breathe in* 2 more weeks and I can start working, hopefully!!! 

Yesterday night was a sad/happy night. We love u and take good care again! Hope u like the bracelet! December we shall go mad again!

 This cake cost $40 and it's not fanciful. Yes, BUTBUTBUT it's the nicest chocolate cake I've ever tasted! Any food recommened by Culinary student nv go wrong! HAHA! The sweetness doesnt overpower! I LIKE!!!! *hunt for michelle* I need to know where to get this!

We cooked in a kitchen where the owner wasn't even at home #likeaboss Luckily his condo is still intact hmmm

Celebrated Choon Lin's bday at Nich's place and she was caught off guard. We stayed till late night and cabbed home w bao. I hope she had fun. 

Yesterday was an AWESOME Monday! AWWW!!! So damn happy for a reason. So nice to see you!!! Yes you. As usual, we had so much to talk about and I look forward to Dec. HAHA! And our grad trip in 2015 when all of us grad LOL! It's ok I can wait. I shall work first. Hmm.. Master? HAHA nv cross my mind tho.

May is quite a scary month. Mother's day clash w dad's bday! So we probably can celebrate it on one day and save money. Need a lot of shopping for bday presents! Anyone knows where to find an oil-free, paraben free moisturiser? ))): I can't afford my $150 moisturiser nowwwwww....... *cries*

Happy 21st

Happy 21st Yun Kay!! Missing Hui Ying and Si Hui(she is at her bf Jonathan's party) HAHA! Coincidence. 

I hope I made them a little happier by lending them my cotton candy machine hahahahaha! 

Yesterday night was spent at Nich's condo preparing and celebrating Choon Lin's 21st and today headed to JunYi's condo to celebrate this woman's 21st haha! BUSYYYYYY with 21st parties. Pocket also very busy. 

Hope u all had lotsa fun and yes I had fun at the bbq and the dinner party! :D Hang on a bit, and this sem gonna be over!

 Sis bought the dress from bkk last year and I bought the romper this year at bkk but both from the same shop so the cutting and material are the same Hah! SAME PRICE ALSO! 150 or 200 baht!! 

Yunkay brought me to this salad place at ION. $9 for the big plate. Greens and sauteed mushrooms as base. Tomato and edamame beans. Teriyaki chicken fillets and smoked ham. (chicken too salty IMO) I miss salad shop )))): That's the only thing I appreciate working in Tanjong Pagar cause I can get cheap and authentic thai food from the market and salad from our fave place!! 

Anyway, Happy 25th Jason. The officially oldest among all of us. Finally someone older than my cousin Jack HAH! We celebrated early since Jack and Wei flying to bkk on fri n sat respectively. Had steamboat @ Bugis. Got school I need to chiong to bugis no school also need to chiong to bugis -.- Had fun though! This group of people surprisingly has been my good buddies for 8 years. Not all went through 8 years with me but as we went along, some left, some came and we may not be the closest friends that can share everything under the sun (afterall most of them are guys T.T) but the friendship built over these 8 years has alr impacted me in one way or another. While May approaches, we gonna have more outings to celebrate all the MAY babies bday! 

AND FINALLY TGIF! Cleared the imformative speech practise round! Test round and FAB presenation next! AWW! Go SPRING REBELS!

Celebrated Xiao Wei's 21st birthday on Sunday at Simei Green Condo Function room.. FINALLY get to see Phyllis hahah! Miss her so much cause she has been kept busy with chingay and etc. Shall upload the photos soon!

We ordered more than all these but by then I was too lazy to take any more photo. We were supposed to head to Arbite but it was so crowded. Thus, we settled at Relish. Finally a meet up with YC and Clement. Missing out John and of course Sze Hui! Had so much to catch up among the 6 of us especially w Darrick around, it will never get quiet Hah! Yesterday's dinner totally reminded me of project meeting back in TP. I really really miss TP HTM life ALOT ALOT I can die.

Meet my senior. B-A-O. We were looking tired after the whole visiting?

I feel so embarrassed wearing Spring 2013 dry fit out today. But ironic enough, I was thankful it was dry fit maybe one day bao and I should exchange. HAHA! Woke up super early on a saturday morning for a good cause. Headed to Teck Ghee w them and we gonna visit households and give them the care packages. It was indeed an eye-opening experience for me IMO because most cases are really really saddening. I don't know how to express myself when I see them standing by the gate awaiting us, looking forward to have someone asking how was their day. Because... They are lonely. I nv do much talking cause I know I am not in handling my emotions hahahaha so everything push to bao =/  Besides thanking us, they encourage us to study hard in uni and then they continued thanking us. Honestly, we didn't do much, besides monetary contribution and some volunteering work, I do hope that we can do much more. Please don't ever ever abandon your parents!  

And I'm going to IMH to do volunteering again!!! *Excited!* =P

Went to yishun columbarium and cck cemetery and the scorching weather wasn't helping at all. The heat from all the burning made everything so much WORSE! I miss ah gong though. We are always with him hahah since our names are all carved on the tombstone. Can't imagine 9 years had passed alr. I only rmb Mingjie was a baby crawling on his bed hah! 

College Algebra Test 2 was a killer paper awww. Hoping for the best!
